We're a Colombo-based Sri Lanka travel agency — a team who've spent 10+ years planning private trips across the island, and now do the same for international holidays, vehicle hire, flights and events.
Our story
Built around getting the details right
Volata Travels started with a simple idea: a good trip is really a series of small things done right — a driver who knows which road avoids the traffic, a hotel that's genuinely close to what you came to see, an itinerary with room to slow down. Ten years and thousands of travellers later, that's still how we plan every trip, whether it's a two-night escape to Kandy or a twelve-night loop around the island.
What began as Sri Lanka tours has grown into vehicle hire, air ticketing, event planning and international holidays — but the approach hasn't changed: plan it properly, put a reliable person behind the wheel, and stay reachable for the whole trip, not just up to the booking.

Every private tour comes with the same English-speaking driver-guide for the whole trip — not a different face each day. Guests regularly tell us their driver became part of the trip itself: adjusting the plan around a tired toddler, covering a shortfall in local currency, or simply knowing the best time to beat the crowds at a temple. That continuity is deliberate — it's a big part of why people come back.
